In preparation for the upcoming Undas 2018, Eastern Police District intensified its Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) and Manhunt Operations within the area of Metro East.
The relentless effort of EPD resulted to the arrests of twelve (12) persons including the Top 6 Most Wanted Person of EPD for various criminal offenses while 833 were accosted for violation of city ordinances covering the period from 5:00 AM October 26, 2018 to 5:00AM of Oct 27, 2018.
The operations also resulted to the confiscation of twenty two (22) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride also known as “Shabu” and the buy-bust money from five (5) drug suspects while four (4) persons were arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest; two (2) persons for physical injuries; and one (1) for robbery.
The EPD District Director PCSUPT BERNABE M BALBA, , said that the operations are in consonance with the crime prevention programs of EPD and the preparation for the incoming Undas 2018. Target hardening measures is also being implemented to preempt possible occurrence of criminal and terroristic acts like bombing and other similar attacks that might disrupt the observance of a peaceful UNDAS 2018″.
The said operations were coupled with the implementation of city ordinances that resulted the apprehensions of 821 persons for a total of 833 accosted violators.
The accomplishments was done by the relentless effort of Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan City Police Stations (PAMAMARISAN) and the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB).
The above cited operations were in line with the directives of PDIR GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, RD, NCRPO and the Chief PNP, PDG OSCAR D ALBAYALDE for the unrelenting campaign against criminality and illegal drugs
