Corazon De Jesus while her courier identified as Carlito Perez Jr., 22, Senior High School and residing at No. 173-G N. Domingo Street, Brgy. Balong Bato both in San Juan City.
According to PSSUPT REYES, the arrest came after officials of Duro Derus Integrated School located at No. 198 N. Domingo Street, Brgy. Corazon De Jesus sought assistance from San Juan City Police where they caught Perez for alleged possession of brick of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops. Prior to the incident school officials ordered an inspection to the students after they refused to surrender their cellular phones while entering their class at around 12:30 PM. One of the teachers noticed Perez acting suspiciously while checking his pouch bag prompting him to approach the student and found the said illegal drugs from his possession.
PSI Edwin Malabanan, Chief, SDEU said Perez was then brought to the San Juan Police Station wherein during interrogation, the student was convinced to help the police identify his source of marijuana and eventually pinpointed Webb as his dealer. Several hours later at around 4:30 PM, Perez contacted Webb through text who was scheduled to meet with him to remit the sales of illegal drugs and for another set of delivery of dried marijuana leaves. Malabanan negotiated with Webb for a drug deal and agreed to meet in front of the Duro Derus Integrated School, unknown to her that she was transacting with the SDEU operatives.
When she handed the illegal drugs to policeman buyer, she was immediately nabbed by other operatives. Recovered from Webb are seven (7) pieces of heat-sealed undetermined amount of marijuana dried leaves. It was learned that Perez had been a drug courier of Webb for long-time and selling drugs through text and Facebook wherein most of his customers are students in different schools of San Juan City.
Webb admitted to the police that she gets her supplies of marijuana from Kalinga, Apayao which she and her boyfriend had been personally transporting to San Juan City and being delivered by her courier to the students in the City. The suspects will be facing charges for violation RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and now detained at the San Juan Police Custodial facility.
