Two (2) drug suspects were arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by operatives of Mandaluyong Police after acquiring P5.4M worth of suspected Shabu, October 1, 2019.
According to the report of PCOL REMIGIO S SEDANTO, Acting Chief of Police, Mandaluyong City Police Station to PBGEN JOHNSON C ALMAZAN, District Director, the operatives arrested the drug suspects through buy-bust operation around 11 AM today at Blk. 40 Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
PCOL SEDANTO identified the suspects as Suraida Samad Y Mama, self-employed, 43 years old, married, and a resident of A Reyes st. Purok 2 New Lower Bicutan Taguig City, and Joel Sumlay y Mama , 46 years ols, married, and a resident of the same.
Seized from their possession was a big transparent heat-sealed plastic bag, and 10 (ten) medium size transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu, 1 (one) weighing scale and 5 (five) original one-thousand-peso bill as marked as buy bust money.
During the buy bust operation, the two suspects were successfully arrested and were apprised of their constitutional rights in their dialect understood.
The evidence was brought to the crime Laboratory for proper disposition. Suspects Samad and Sumlay are now detained at Mandaluyong CPS and facing charges for Violation of section 5 of R.A. No.9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
