Two (2) arrested drug suspects were arrested by the elements of Marikina City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Station Intelligence Branch after they recovered  almost a million peso worth of illegal drugs . Based on the report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) Director PBGEN JOHNSON C ALMAZAN, the suspects were identified as Mohaimen Quezon y Macalonlon a.k.a Baba, male, 50 years old, married, vendor, native of Marawi City and presently residing at Blk. 53-54 Pipino St., Barangay Tumana, Marikina City; Nilda Follero y Cambiado, female, 52 years old, widowed, housewife, native of Bicol and presently residing at Blk. 53-54 Pipino St., Barangay Tumana, Marikina City; and Caironisa Quezon y Maomin a.k.a Khairo (at Large),female, 43 years old, married, native of Lanao Del Sur and presently residing at Blk. 53-54 Pipino St., Barangay Tumana, Marikina City.
Mohaimen Quezon and Nilda Follero were nabbed by the members of Station Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLT ELMER RIGONAN and Station Intelligence Branch led by PLT RAMIEL SORIANO under the supervision of PCOL RESTITUTO B ARCANGEL, COP while Caironisa Quezon managed to escape during a buybust operation at Blk. 53-54 Pipino St., Barangay Tumana, Marikina City at around 8:38 PM on September 10, 2019.
Prior to operations, a call from a concerned citizen was received by the operatives of SDEU regarding the involvement in the illegal drug trade of alias Baba. Acting on this, operatives of this station immediately conducted an operation to arrest the said suspect. The undercover agent proceeded at Barangay Tumana to transact a drug deal with the target of the operations. After acquiring a sachet of suspected shabu from alias Baba together with his cohorts Nilda and Caironisa, the undercover police promptly gave a pre–arranged signal to his colleagues that the sale was consummated.
The two were immediately arrested but one of the suspects managed to escape before SDEU and Intel operatives arrived on the scene. A total of twenty-one (21) pcs of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 140 grams with an estimated value of (P 952,000.00), one (1) sling bag, one (1) digital weighing scale, five (5) packs of empty transparent plastic sachets and P 500 used as buy bust money were recovered from the scene.
The arrested suspects were apprised of their constitutional rights and currently detained at Marikina CPS Custodial Facility facing charges of violation of Sec 5 and Sec 11 of RA 9165 while Caironisa Quezon (at Large) is still being sought by the authorities.
