The Mandaluyong CPS holds its first ever Anti-Crime Summit and launching of Mandaluyong’s B.E.S.T (Bravery, Excellence, Service, Trustworthy) Crime Stoppers Program on September 14,2019 at Atrium Building Maysilo Circle, Mandaluyong City.
PMGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, RD NCRPO served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and Hon. Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos graced the said activity, also Prominent Guest DR. Jesus L Arranza, Chairman, Federation of Phil Industries delivered the overview of the Mandaluyong CPS Crime Stopper Program.
The said activity was attended by more or less 300 participants coming from the different sectors of the society which include the Local Government Officials, Business Sectors, Civil Security Organization, Non-Government Organization, Academe, Youth Leaders, Students, Religious Leaders and Cluster Leaders.
This activity paved the way to collaborate the effort of various stakeholders and opportune time to strengthen the community participation in crime prevention. It is also serves as a vehicle in forging stronger partnership between the PNP and community to gain support in peace keeping, public safety and nation building programs of the PNP.
In the advent of technology and fast pace world where criminals had also evolved the ways in committing crimes, stakeholders and volunteers should come together in preventing and solving crimes, this partnership will serve as guiding instrument in the attainment of our mission and making Mandaluyong City a safer place to live and do business.
This project is being practice worldwide and now replicated by Mandaluyong CPS under the initiative and strong leadership of PCOL REMIGIO S SEDANTO, who firmly believes that Community Safety is a Shared Responsibility, this Crime Stoppers program are operated not for profit and will be manage by a volunteer Board of Directors. The board will be responsible in fund raising and paying rewards to individuals who anonymously contributed online tips with information that help to solve crime.
