SAN Juan City Police nabbed a man and his live-in partner following a buy-bust operation in San Juan City Wednesday early morning.
In a report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) Director PBGEN JOHNSON C ALMAZAN by San Juan City Police Chief, PCOL ARIEL R FULO showed suspects were identified as Marvic Saljob, alias Boy Negro, 29, tricycle driver and Bendelyn Reyes, alias Lea, 35, front desk staff in a massage parlor and both residing at No. 2404 B-20, Brgy. Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
According to Fulo, the two suspects were collared by San Juan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in a buy-bust operation along F. Roman St. Brgy. Balong Bato at around 3:45 am. Prior to the arrest, police received a tip that the duo were about to deliver drugs in San Juan City. SDEU Chief, PCPT EDWIN A MALABANAN was able to strike a deal with the duo and agreed to sell a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu for P500.
When the suspects handed the illegal drugs to a cop posed a buyer, operatives immediately arrested them and confiscated another plastic sachet of shabu from the woman suspect. Malabanan said, it was the first time that the live–in partners made a drug deal in San Juan City after Mandaluyong cops are strictly monitoring their illegal drug activities.
The arrested suspects are facing charges of violation of Sec 5 and 11 of the R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and now detained at the San Juan Police Custodial facility.###
