The Eastern Police District Mobile Force Battalion under the leadership of PCOL HERMOGENES D CABE, Force Commander, DMFB visited another area within EPD AOR particularly in Mangga/Dilang, Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on November 12, 2019 at 8:00AM as one of the police community relations programs which aim to further bring the police more closer to the people through community based projects with the theme: “ Ang Mobile Aral Tungo sa Karunungan ng Maunlad na Kabataan at Mapayapang Pamayanan”.
The Mobile Library is comprised of sustainable programs and approaches that will foster good relationship to the community, particularly the children. Hence, lectures on Filipino Values such as patriotism and obedience to the law; proper hygiene; ways how to keep away from illegal drugs and how to stop/ avoid bullying are some of the topics being taught. It also includes feeding and gift giving activity to to the children as an early christmas gifts to them. The said activity was conducted in line with the celebration of the National Children’s Month with the theme: “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan”.
The said visit of DMFB Mobile Library was graced by PCOL ERSON U DIGAL, Deputy District Director for Administration, EPD together with HON. MARICAR A. VIVERO, Brgy. Chairwoman, Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City and her Councils, Ms. Lei Macaraeg, Customer Relations Service Manager of SM Center Pasig and Ms. Arabel Sarabia, President, Rotary Club, Pasig Sunrise. It was also supported by Mr. Mac Dormiendo, External Relations Manager of San Miguel Purefoods Co., Pasig City thru the personnel from District Community Affairs and Development Unit of EPD and with the Battalion Advisory Councils. HON. RODRIGO ASILO, Pasig City Councilor was also present in the activity and gave some inspirational message.
The said activity benefited more than one hundred fifty (150) children of the said barangay and the residents were very cooperative on the said program and positively supported the PNP with its trust and programs for the welfare of the community particularly the children alongside with it’s intensified campaign against criminality and illegal drugs. PCOL DIGAL, during his speech said that the conduct of Mobile Library is in great help to the out of school youth and those children who cannot afford to go to school, and with the aid of this project that serve as one of the Best Practice of the EPD wherein education in the simple way of the police officers is almost at their hand. He also added, that children must not be afraid of the police but rather be of friend with them. While, CHAIRWOMAN VIVERO, expressed her gratitude to the PNP especially to EPD- DMFB in doing such activities that promotes the welfare of children who needed much care particularly at the area of Mangga/Dilang.
Same gratitude was also emphasized by COUNCILOR ASILO and the other invited guests. “Serbisyong may Pagkukusa at Malasakit, Yan ang Tatak DMFB”, that’s the official slogan of the District Mobile Force Battalion which main objective is to help those who are in need in a simplest manner without hesitation and with utmost concern that will leave a mark to the people and will surely create a better Police Community Relations.
This is also the main goal of EPD District Director to reach and be with the community and work with them to have a safer and orderly EPD Area of Responsibility. The dedication and strong concern shown by the DMFB personnel to the residents of Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City which gave a positive impact with pride and honor not only to the Eastern Police District but to the Philippine National Police as a whole and as PCOL CABE always reiterates to his men the importance of Commitment and Dedication to sworn duties and responsibilities to be an effective and credible Police Officer.
