A total of more or less 30 participants from Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan as well as DMFB participated in the lecture about Firecracker Law at EPD Conference Room, Caruncho Avenue, Pasig City.

PCOL LYNDON A MENCIO, CDDS, EPD delivered his welcome remarks to the participants who were mostly investigators from city police stations reminding them to be attentive in this lecture since this is in relation to the upcoming Christmas season.

The guest lecturer, PCOL THOMAS M VALMONTE, Chief, Regional Legal Officer, NCRPO said that the lecture aims to familiarize police officers of the fireworks industry on the 2012 revised Implementing Rules and Regulations governing the administration and enforcement of Republic Act (RA) 7183 otherwise known as the “Firecracker Law.”

This half-day lecture equipped the participants with the knowledge on how to apply this law since it is the sole prerogative of the PNP to implement and enforce RA 7183, an act regulating the sale, manufacture, distribution and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnics devices.

The activity was hosted by the District Law and Order Section headed by PLTCOL LEJOE C CAMPOS, District Legal Officer, EPD.
