The EPD under the leadership of PBGEN JOHNSON C ALMAZAN, District Director through the District Community Affairs and Development Unit led by PMAJ VIRGILIO O TIMAJO, OIC, DCADU, supported an Indignation Rally against the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) at The Shrine of Mary, Queen of Peace, Our Lady of EDSA, or more popularly, the EDSA Shrine located at the intersection of Ortigas Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue in Barangay Ugong Norte, Quezon City, 8:00 AM.
This rally was participated by more or less 500 participants from various stakeholders, National Government Agenicies (NGAs) and National Government Organizations (NGOs), individuals from the identified sectors from WAO and other- cause oriented groups such as The Hands-Off our children and League of Parents who will antagonized the deception and violent activities perpetuated by the NPA.
“This gathering declares our support to the government and eventually denounce the existence of NPA that truly impede the nation’s development especially to the youth” PBGEN ALMAZAN said.
Highlighted in the indignation rally was a message of support and indignation pronouncement from the City Mayors and other government agencies. There were also effigies and audio-visual presentations depicting the evil acts of the CPP-NPA as well as distribution of Anti-NPA flyers, displays of tarpaulins and placards denouncing NPA’s atrocities.
“We are grateful to the all the people who participated in this indignation rally towards our campaign to end NPA’s atrocities particularly in the eastern part of Metro Manila. As public servants, it is our duty to protect our youth and children from being deceived by the Communist NPA Terrorists,” PBGEN ALMAZAN added.
