The Chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, PMGEN VICENTE D DANAO JR spearheaded the Dialogue and Signing of Peace Covenant with the Muslim Leaders together with PBGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA JR, DRDO; PBGEN MATTHEW P BACCAY, DD, EPD; PCOL MOISES O VILLACERAN JR, COP, Pasig CPS; and Hon. Eriberto Guevarra, Barangay Chairman, Brgy. Palatiw, Pasig City earlier this morning of February 5, 2021, held at M.H. Del Pilar St., Brgy. Palatiw Pasig City.
In attendance also were Mr. Bae Molinto “Ellen” Hadji Ali, Over-all Pres., Muslim Consultative Council, Pasig Chapter; Mr. Dimal A Dimapinggun, Consultant, Pasig Muslim Affairs of Masjid Ferdaus; Mohammad Hadji Acmad, President, Hayatol-Ulom Masjid, Barangay Palatiw Officials, and other Senior Officers from the PNP.
The activity commenced with series of lectures that involves the following: Info CARE, Anti-Illegal Drugs, Anti-Criminality, and Anti-Terrorism conducted by the Districts Speakers Bureau and Station Commanders of Pasig CPS benefitting 100 participants composed of Imams/Ustadz, Bilal, Jama’a, Salaam Police Volunteers, Muslim Community Leaders, and other Muslim residents from the different Muslim communities in Pasig City.
The highlight of the event was the recitation of the Pledge of Commitment followed by the signing of the Peace Covenant that manifests the commitment of the PNP and the Muslim Community to forge a stronger union. Likewise, released white doves and lighting of candle that symbolizes their unity and partnership towards the fulfillment of the common goal, to ensure peace and order in the society.
“Ako ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa tulong at inyong kooperasyon upang mapanitiling maging maayos at matiwasay ang ating komunidad. Ang Peace Covenant na ito ay magpapatibay lalo ng ating samahan at magpapatunay na iwinawaksi natin ang kasamaan, ang hindi magandang gawain lalong-lalo na sa terorismo, kriminalidad at illegal drugs” PMGEN DANAO stated.
The activity ended with the distribution of health kits and food packs to the participants.
