EPD LAUNCHES ADOPT-A PRECINCT PROJECT, INAUGURATES PCP6 OF PASIG CPS The Eastern Police District launched its Adopt-a-Precinct Project which coincided with the blessing and inauguration of the newly renovated Police Community Precinct 6 of Pasig City Police Station in Sta. Lucia, Pasig City earlier today. The ceremony was spearheaded by PSSUPT BERNABE M BALBA, District Director, EPD together with the Command Group and Staff. Also in attendance were PSSUPT RIZALITO GAPAS, the Pasig City Police Station Chief of Police, PSI ANGEL SUMULONG, the PCP Commander of PCP 6 - Pasig City Police Station and staff. The renovation of the Police Community Precinct was made possible through the hardwork of PSI SUMULONG with the active support of the community. This is a clear manifestation of the steadfast collaboration between the police and its stakeholders to uplift the image of the police by establishing a decent and conducive place to work so that in return they can serve the community better. In so doing, the community is brought closer to the police and vice-versa. “This activity is very timely and I can say, as it gives life to EPD’s “Adopt -a- Precinct Project.” We are proud of the Chief of Police of Pasig City Police Station and the PCP Commander of PCP 6 and his men for working together to fulfill this project. But of course, we are also delighted to have the community by our side, supporting us towards our goal of implementing the exaggerated cleanliness concept of our Regional Director, PCSUPT GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR as well as in support to our very own good grooming efforts, the 3M- Pulis Malinis, Magalang at Maasahan," says PSSUPT BERNABE M BALBA. “To the people with good heart who continue to support your policemen to carry out quality public service, thank you. REMNANT OF BURATONG DRUG SYNDICATE ARRESTED FOR DRUG PUSHING 1.2M WORTH OF SHABU Over 1.2 Million worth of shabu were confiscated from a big time drug dealer in Pasig City at about 5:30PM along Old MRR Street, Pineda, Pasig City, earlier this day. According to the report of PSSUPT BERNABE M BALBA, Acting District Director, Eastern Police District to PCSUPT GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, Regional Director, NCRPO, the suspect identified as Antonio R. Intalan alias Anthony, 49 years old, construction worker and a resident of No. 650 Old MRR Street, Barangay Pineda, Pasig City was arrested by the Chief District Drug Enforcement Unit led by PCINSP ALLAN MIPARANUM with the District Intelligence Unit led by PSUPT HENDRIX MANGALDAN after selling P 1,000.00 worth of shabu to a police poseur buyer which led to his arrest and subsequent confiscation of six (6) small heat sealed plastic sachet placed in a wallet and another twenty-seven (27) medium sized heat sealed sachets inside a sunglass pouch with a total estimated weight of 190 grams of shabu with an approximate street value of Php1.250M. Also, Intalan was included on theTop 10 High Value Target category level #1 of EPD and an active member of Amin Buratong Drug Syndicate, responsible for the operation of the busted famous Pasig Shabu “Tiangge” way back 2006.Further, Intalan had three (3) previous arrests in the year 2013 for Sec 5 and 11; on the year 2014 for Sec 13 and 14 of RA 9165 but all dismissed, he was arrested again last year 2017 for Violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 but released after posting bail.The suspect was properly informed of the reason of his arrest and at the same time appraised of his constitutional rights in a language known and understood by him.
